Starting with Trim Enabler 4.3, you now require the Swift 5 runtime in order to run Trim Enabler.
The Swift 5 runtime is a set of libraries that enable support for Swift, the programming language used to build Trim Enabler.
The Swift 5 runtime is included by default on macOS Mojave 10.14.4 or later. But for macOS
- 10.9 Mavericks
- 10.10 Yosemite
- 10.11 El Capitan
- 10.12 Sierra
- 10.13 High Sierra
- Mojave 10.14.0 - 10.14.3
....you need to download the Swift 5 runtime and install separately it in order to run Trim Enabler.
You can download the Swift 5 runtime here:
Once the runtime is installed, restart Trim Enabler and it should work as expected.
Is there any other option?
The only other option is to use an older version of Trim Enabler. First, you must make sure to uninstall your current version.
- Open up Terminal.app (you can search in Spotlight for "Terminal")
Press enter. A folder will open.
- In there, delete the file named "org.cindori.TEHelper".
- Download the older Trim Enabler 4.2 from here.
